Albufeira will be celebrating International Jazz Day on Saturday, April 30 with a free afternoon concert by the Magic Stars International Quartet at the municipal auditorium.
Organised by the Algarve Jazz Orchestra in collaboration with Albufeira council, the event features Hugo Alves, founder of the Algarve Jazz Orchestra, on the trumpet, American musicians Michael Lauren (drums) and Gregory Burk (piano), and Portuguese double bass player Luís Henrique.
The quartet will be performing several of Hugo Alves’ original compositions from 4pm.
