A promotional campaign including television and radio adverts by APAL, the Albufeira tourism association, is aimed at enticing increased numbers of Spanish visitors to the area.
A spokesman for APAL said: “The Spanish market has been considered to be a primary market to invest in to encourage more holidays and short breaks.”
APAL also plans to launch a series of advertising campaigns in other major source markets, including the UK, Holland, Germany and across Scandinavia to boost tourism numbers in Albufeira.
