TAXI DRIVERS working from Lisbon airport will have to meet strict criteria, set by the Portuguese Institute for Mobility and Transportation, to be able to operate from the airport in the future.
Drivers will need to speak at least another language, have cars in good condition with air conditioning and machines to accept multibanco cards inside the taxi.
The requirements are being challenged by the Portuguese Federation of Taxis (FPT), which believes improvements need to be made but changes need to be made more slowly.
