Air and sea searches for missing Russian ballet dancer called off

The air and sea searches for missing Russian ballet dancer Ilya Romanskiy (click here) have now been called off. Authorities will be patrolling beaches and cliff sites around Praia das Pedras Amarelas in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the hope that the 22-year-old’s body will be returned by the sea. The Royal Russian Ballet which is performing Swan Lake in Porto on February 19 now, instead of the scheduled date earlier this week, has announced that all proceeds from ticket sales will be sent to Ilya’s grieving family.
