Aid to Ukraine will cost the Portuguese government €42 million in 2024

Aid to Ukraine to repel the Russian invasion will cost the state €42 million  next year, an amount to be divided between the Foreign Affairs and Defence ministries, Minister João Gomes Cravinho announced today. Considering this is one of the “main lines of action of Portuguese foreign policy”, within the scope of European policy, Mr Cravinho said that the amount will be divided equally between the two ministries and will be the basis of support for Ukraine “in the political, financial, humanitarian and military fields”.
