THE AFPOP road shows held at Makro in Guia on December 7 and 14 have been hailed a success by the association’s CEO, Michael Reeve.
“We were very pleased with the response, from people wanting to know more about what we do and the services we provide to members,” he said.
“The new members we were delighted to welcome over the two road show weekends, together with the information we gathered from the experience for the road shows which we intend to hold throughout 2009, made it a very rewarding exercise.” Everyone who visited the road shows was given a day pass to Makro.
As of January 2009, all afpop members will also be entitled to apply for a full Makro card at the Albufeira store, regardless of whether they are in business or not. Following an agreement that has been negotiated for afpop members, the whole Makro network will be open to them.
Details of how to apply for the card will be published to members in the New Year.
“There has never been a better time to become an afpop member, with the small annual cost of membership far outweighed by the financial benefits negotiated for our members,” said Michael Reeve.
