A dinner at Pedras d´el Rei, near Sta. Luzia has been organised for Wednesday March 17 at 7pm. AFPOP members visitedthis venue last May and were looked after extremely well, so hopefully the staff will repeat their performance!
Graham Payne – ex-Head Gardener at Jesus College, Cambridge and the author of the highly acclaimed book Garden Plants for Mediterranean Climates, has kindly offered to give a short talk on the book and will have signed copies on sale.
To find Pedras d‘el Rei follow the EN125 Eastwards from Luz de Tavira (1km) or West from Tavira (4km) until you see a sign for Sta. Luzia, Pedras d’el Rei and Barril. Take this and you will find the restaurant in the complex 1km down the road.
AFPOP have organised the dinner in the hope of attracting some new faces – some of whom will be working during the day, so if you are new to the organisation please go along. The cost is 13.50 euros for members, 16 euros for non-members. For more information and bookings call or email Gaynor Stapleton on [email protected] or 967456 330.
