Afpop, Portugal’s largest foreign residents’ association, has negotiated a new benefit for its members with the retail supermarket Makro.
Under this new agreement, afpop members are now able to apply for a Makro card simply by virtue of their afpop membership, whereas before this was reserved for business people.
Fernando Ruas, manager of Makro in Guia, said: “Since assisting afpop with their Road Shows in December, we are delighted to be able to strengthen the link with the Association which provides services to one of our important markets, the expatriate customer.”
Afpop President Christopher Stephen said: “afpop is always seeking to improve the benefits to our members, both in the range of the benefits and the value of them individually. I congratulate Fernando Ruas on recognising the value of the afpop membership.”
Existing afpop members who wish to take advantage of this benefit can apply at the afpop office or online at www.afpop.com.
