Environment minister João Pedro Matos Fernandes has said the government will be launching advice on how citizens can benefit from €30 million being made available in the Programme for Recovery and Resilience to improve the energy efficiency of Portuguese homes. In total over €600 million will be going on promoting energy efficiency in buildings – half of this amount will go to residential buildings, and 10% of this for ‘house to house’ projects. In July, there will be a similar announcement focused on combat energetic poverty, he said. In this case, it won’t be a distribution of money, but ‘vouchers’ for people to be able to pay for similar projects.
