Lagos Câmara has launched a campaign to encourage the adoption of dogs from their municipal kennels.
The Ganha um Novo Amigo, (get a new friend), campaign is intended to increase the number of dogs that are adopted from the kennels to avoid overcrowding.
Each week one dog will be featured by the Câmara for adoption.
The kennels are open from Monday until Friday from 8.30am to 12 noon and from 1pm to 4pm and from April will also be open on Saturday mornings.
