Alcoutim has launched a new campaign entitled ‘Adota-me’ (Adopt me) which encourages local residents to adopt a pet animal from the local ‘Espaço Animal’ (Animal Space), where there are currently over 50 dogs waiting to be “responsibly adopted.”
“Owning a pet animal is unique but adopting one (is a decision) that cannot be made lightly,” says Alcoutim mayor Osvaldo Gonçalves.
