Opening on November 16, the new location will feature the 2023 Art Exhibition curated by Adérita Silva.

Galeria Aderita Artistic Space is opening its latest art exhibition space this Thursday, November 16, at 17h00 at the historic Monument Hotel Pousada Palácio Estoi in Faro.

Seven guest artists presenting painting and sculpture work will be part of the Art Exhibition 2023 catalogue. These works reveal points of view that curator Adérita Silva – the mastermind behind this concept – has chosen for this new historical space.

On show will be names such as Angelina Maia, known for her lacy cardboard technique associated with the delicacy of the female body; Paulo Frangolho, whose work is associated with materials such as assemblage and Pop Art; Rosa Pereira, with a matrix portrayed in the most varied areas of painting; Filipe Curado, whose central element of reference is a tree; Fátima Sardinha, who finds her uniqueness in the rhythm and colour of her work; Higino Gonçalves, who uses iron, aluminium and stainless steel as materials for expression; and Adérita Silva, known for the colouring and movement associated with the abstract.

 

 

The Aderita concept already counts five prestigious creative spaces across the Algarve. The opening of the artist’s first space in her hometown of Almancil in 2000 was followed by openings in Vale do Lobo, Lagoa (Vale D’El Rei), and Quinta do Lago (Casa Velha). The new space in Estoi marks the culmination of the artist’s 23 years as a curator.
