Add a backpack to your shopping list

THE FIRST annual Backpack Drive for Schoolchildren in Need started off well and appeal organisers, David and Celia Mossman, are delighted with the response. However, many more backpacks are still needed. The initiative aims to provide children in care, and those supported by Silves-based charity Castelo de Sonhos, with the very essential backpack that every child needs to carry around all their books both to and from school. Shops in the region are already stocking their back-to-school range of backpacks, so would you be willing to add a backpack to your shopping list to enable a child to start the term with a smile?
