AN ABANDONED hotel in Portimão is to be cleaned up by the local Câmara because it presents “a problem of security and public health”.
The Hotel Tropimar has been a home for drug users and vandals for the past two years and the Câmara in Portimão has been heavily criticised because it is opposite a school.
Windows and doors are now to be boarded and drug users that are found in the building are to be dealt with by the Centro de Apoio à Toxicodependência.
