A rehabilitation clinic in São Brás de Alportel is the only accredited Portuguese clinic in the world, according to the local Câmara.
The Centro de Medicina de Reabilitação do Sul received its accreditation by the American Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which assessed the Algarve clinic’s rehabilitation programmes.
Established since 2007, the clinic provides “an intensive rehabilitation programme for people with serious mobility restrictions, in-patient care and strict standards of excellence and quality,” said a Câmara spokesman.
