Providing access for all beach users has been the aim of Vila Real de Santo António Câmara, with four beaches in the municipality offering a complete service for people with reduced mobility.
The beaches of Santo António, Monte Gordo, Lota and Manta Rota have all been awarded the flag of accessibility and will offer specialised services run by trained professionals, including amphibious vehicles to transport users to the water, until August 30.
The accessible beach projects will take place on the designated beaches every day between 10am and 1pm and then between 4pm and 7pm. Those interested in the accessible beach services are advised to contact a lifeguard on the beaches when arriving.
