As streets across the UK celebrate Her Majesty’s 90th birthday, Algarve children’s charity ACCA is planning for a garden party to pay tribute to the Queen, while raising funds for local causes. The event will be held on Sunday, June 12 at the Monte de Quinta Resort in Quinta do Lago at 3.30pm.
At this “high-tea party”, there will be gourmet food “fit for a queen”, royal games, a fashion show staged by La Dolce Vita who will introduce its Save the Queen collection, flags to wave, all accompanied by notes of the National Anthem.
Tickets to the event cost €20 and include sparkling wine or a cup of English tea.
Funds raised will help provide much-needed therapies, including speech, occupational and psychological care.
