ACCA hosts Charity Bike Ride

Money to be raised in aid of underprivileged children

Algarve charity ACCA is calling all bikers to sign up for its 11th Annual Charity Bike Ride which will take place on Sunday, May 8.

The event will begin at Conrad Algarve in Quinta do Lago and aims to raise money for the children in need that ACCA supports in the Algarve.

There is a choice of routes for riders of all fitness levels and abilities, starting with a 10km ride which will begin at 10.30am. There is also a 25km ride starting at 10am, a 50km ride at 9am and a 75km ride at 8am, with meet-ups taking place 15 minutes before the start.

To take part, riders must raise a minimum of €50 for the children supported by ACCA. A 10km “Parents and Kids” route with entertainment is €10 per child.

There will be a “delectable culinary treat” to enjoy after the rides, courtesy of Conrad Algarve, as well as a raffle.

ACCA was founded in 2000. Since then, ACCA has delivered life-saving and life-changing therapies and medical aid to disadvantaged youngsters who either live below the poverty line, or are orphaned and in care, or who require specialist treatment that is not available to them through Social Services.
