PORTIMÃO GNR are now investigating the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old Dutch girl, who escaped from a man who attempted to force her into his car as she was walking home near Porches on March 11 (see The Resident edition of March 21).
Lagoa GNR had been looking into the case but it has now passed it onto a specialist team of investigators at Portimão GNR. A spokesman for the GNR told The Resident: “Although there are no developments in this case, it is normal procedure that it is moved to a new department that deals specifically in matters concerning minors.”
