Speaker Sally K Church will be discussing two shipping yards in Ming China during the next meetings of the Algarve Archaeological Association (AAA) held on November 2.
The first of the meetings is to take place at the museum in São Brás de Alportel at 2.30pm with the second meeting at 6.30pm at the Convent in Lagoa.
Sally K Church, the co-author of the Oxford Starter Chinese Dictionary, will be looking at the treasure shipyard in Nanjing and the shipyard of Longjiang 120 years later.
The lectures are open to everyone with non members asked to pay a five Euro entry fee.
