A6 motorway death: association appeals latest decision ‘freeing former minister’

A court yesterday ruled that former Socialist minister Eduardo Cabrita should not be tried for negligent homicide in the case of the tragic death of motorway worker Nuno Santos two years ago. But assistants in the process, the association of automobilised citizens, has said it will be appealing. “”We decided to appeal because the correct reading of the elements (in the case)s not the one the court made, but the one we make, and that will determine the indictment of Dr Cabrita,” lawyer Paulo Graça told Lusa today.
