Dear Editor,
I would like to leave a word of appreciation for all the nurses, doctors and workers of the Portimão Hospital who are facing an unsure future.
I believe it must not be easy to work with such a constant doubt itching away at your brain.
The population, local or foreign, resident or tourist, all appreciate the efforts and the sacrifices of these professionals, some of whom, it seems, will be forced to travel to Faro and back every day to provide more accessible healthcare services across the region.
I speak for myself when I say I hope these workers are treated with the utmost respect by their superiors because they are the ones keeping us alive and well.
