Valverde Lawn Bowls Club in Almancil celebrated Christmas with a party at The Holiday Inn in Armação de Pêra on Saturday, December 10. This has become a popular annual event.
The food was, as always, excellent and music for dancing was provided by vocalist Sue Wilson.
On December 16, the club held its final roll up of the year. Mulled wine and mince pies were served before the bowlers played a mixed drive. The winner was Jacquie Tobin with an amazing score of 27 from just 12 ends.
The game was followed by a Christmas lunch at the Don Camillo restaurant in Almancil.
Valverde Club reopens on January 2 and would like to wish all bowlers in the Algarve good bowling for 2017.
