A road show with a twist

afpop, Portugal’s largest foreign residents’ association, will hold its Eastern Road Show on Thursday, November 19 at the Beira Rio Restaurant in Tavira, from 11am.

The association describes it as “a coffee morning with a difference” , where there will be the opportunity to meet the afpop team, including the office staff, council members and the eastern area event organiser, Linda Cree, who will all be on hand to introduce the association and the benefits of membership.

So, what’s the twist? “The Road Show is taking place before a fun luncheon with members in the area at the restaurant at 1pm, which includes a quiz and lunch with The Beatles,” says Michael Reeve, CEO of afpop.

“This promises to be a fun packed afternoon, including a table quiz to do over lunch, a live quiz after lunch, plus ‘Playing Card Bingo’, which we bet you haven’t done before! There will be prizes for quiz and bingo winners and also raffle prizes.”

The three course lunch and drinks cost 12.50 euros for afpop members and 13.50 euros for non-members.

“To find out about afpop and the benefit of joining over 6,000 other members, go along to the Beira Rio Restaurant,” said Michael Reeve.

There is no need to book for the Road Show, but to reserve a place for the luncheon please contact the afpop office on 282 458 509 or by email at [email protected]
