The Algarve’s Aperitivo Theatre Group is preparing for its next production, a real “monster mash” entitled ‘Transylvania Dreaming’.
Life with the un-dead is never quite what you expect and Aperitivo’s own brand of black humour includes a werewolf singing the Sound of Music and a heroine turning down a handsome hero to go off with a gorilla.
Performances will take place at the Museum in São Brás on Friday, February 26, and Saturday, February 27, at Clube de Tavira on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 and at Casa do Povo in Moncarapacho on Saturday, March 12.
Tickets cost €8 for theatre alone. Doors open at 7pm for a light pre-theatre supper. At São Brás and Tavira an extra €4 gets you a bowl of spicy chilli com (or sem) carne, and a Bloody Mary. At Moncarapacho Chef Mark will have some tasty specials available at the bar. The performance itself starts at 7.45pm.
