THE FOURTH jazz night at the museum in São Brás, organised by the Triple Bass Music Agency and the Friends of São Brás, will be this Saturday, May 6. The music will be provided by the AP Jazz Voices duet and the Good Vibes group.
Manuela Lopes, the first lady of jazz in Portugal, has been delighting audiences for over two decades and has supported the late, great Ronnie Scott when he last appeared in Portugal. She has also performed across Europe. On the night, Manuela will be joined by the male jazz ballad singer, Russ Anthony, and together will perform a range of jazz classics.
Heike Brockmann is Germany’s best export to Portugal. She is a hugely talented and much respected jazz guitarist. Her style places her somewhere between Kenny Burrell and Joe Pass, and Heike has jointly led the group, Good Vibes, with Duncan Kinnell on vibraphone for many years. The two hope to give jazz lovers in the Algarve a rare treat of the unique combination of guitar and vibraphone.
This concert will be a rare treat and one not to be missed! For tickets contact Lua Azul on 289 845 452 or the museum on 289 840 100.
