A piece of Italy in Lagos

Stepping into the Trattoria Vecchia Milano is like stepping into a slice of Italy in Lagos.

Nataliya and Carlos Calogero have more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, having worked in some of the most prestigious establishments in Padua City, Milan and in Germany.

The couple have now opened their own restaurant in Lagos, Trattoria Vecchia Milano, and hope to pass on some of their own food philosophy to customers visiting the restaurant. “When you walk into our restaurant, we want you to feel like you are in Italy and that you are one of our friends or relatives who have come to share in our love of great food,” said Carlos.

Clients visiting the restaurant can expect a menu packed with homemade dishes from fresh pasta to mouth-watering desserts.

The food served is tailored to the seasons with portions big enough to fill the most hearty of appetites including speciality dishes such as roast leg of lamb, Milanese steaks, inventive antipasta and a large choice of fresh fish daily.

The couple pride themselves on the authenticity of their products and many are imported directly from Italy including cheeses, presunto and a selection of Italian wines, and everyday there is the option for clients to take advantage of the great value dish of the day costing between five and seven euros with extra treats for regular visitors.

For further information, or to book a table at the restaurant, please visit Carlos and Nataliya on Rua Gil Eanes 5A, Lagos (near to the statue and Neves chemist) or call 282 761 230.
