A philharmonic first
The Associação Filarmónica de Faro will, for the first time, be organising a festival of philharmonic orchestras in Faro during the first week of September.
The festival will commence with the Tavira Philharmonic Orchestra on Sunday, September 3, at 10pm. Friday, September 8, will see performances from the Castro Marim and Moncarapacho groups, followed on Saturday, September 9, by performances from the philharmonic orchestras of Aljezur, Lagos and Silves. The festival will be closed on Sunday, September 10, by the Loulé and Faro orchestras. All concerts start at 10pm and take place at Faro’s Palco da Doca.
