Hi-de-Hi, an Algarveans Theatre Group production, will be performed at the Lagoa Auditorium on October 18, 19 and 20 at 8.30pm.
This week we bring you a message from Peggy:
“‘Ello Everybody – this is Peggy Ollerenshaw, the chalet maid from Maplins Holiday Camp.
Mr Fairbrother, our Sports Manager, told me that we’re all coming over next week and he’s letting me come too – I can’t believe it, it’s like a dream come true. He says we’re all getting a plane – a plane that flies over the sea – oooer I’ve never been in the sea, never mind about fly over it! Expect I’m going to be sick but he says they’ve got bags and I’ll get over it and we’ll all have a lovely time.
He’s a smashin’ bloke our Mr Fairbrother. He says maybe one day I can be a yellow coat too. That’s me big dream – that’s me ambition.
Ted Bovis, he’s the camp comic, says I can help him with the raffle we’re going to do for your firemen when we’re there. I’ve never met a fireman! Oooh it’s all going to be so exciting.
Ted says our pounds and shillings are no good in Portugal and we’ve got to do the raffle in something called euros. I’ll have to watch Ted and make sure he doesn’t do any of his dodgy tricks so them firemen get all your euros.
Tara everybody – got to practise being a yellow coat – you never know – this might be me chance for the big time. Look out Algarve, Peggy’s on her way.”
Tickets cost €12 for adults and €6 for students.
