Taste Restaurant in Carvoeiro embodies the best that the Algarve has to offer – delicious food, local wines, creative cocktails and live music in a relaxed atmosphere with hints of casual sophistication.
Away from the busy town centre, owners Nicola and Ciprian Silvasan have found the perfect spot to welcome their guests.
Established in Carvoeiro since 2011, Taste is a place to chill, listen to some good music by local musicians and enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
Since taking the helm in the kitchen in May, the new head chef Florian Rühlmann from Germany has been busy creating a varied menu of mouth-watering dishes that have already turned first-time customers into regulars.
Thanks to the Algarve’s balmy evenings, the outdoor terrace is ideal to enjoy a meal with family and friends well into the autumn months.
Diners can choose from a varied selection of meat, fish, seafood and vegetarian options. And the team are always keen to impress their younger customers by adding a special, fun touch to their dish.
Taste Restaurant places great focus on aromas and flavours. The quality of the varied selection of tapas, fresh fillets of fish or prime cuts of meat have contributed to make Taste a gastronomic reference in Carvoeiro, and the Algarve.
Apart from the hugely popular “Steak Night” on Saturdays (rib eye, chips, salad, and two sauces for €18.50/more steak choices available), there is also live music on Thursdays and the newly-introduced “Marvellous Mondays”, which will run until the end of September, featuring the relaxing sounds of Brazilian musician Rafa on his guitar, plus ‘caipirinhas’ – the delicious Brazilian drink – for €6.
Nicola and Ciprian, alongside Chef Florian, are already working on the new menu for the winter season. There will be special events from October, such as a wine pairing dinner, and a special German-style roast duck with “Klösse & Rotkraut” (dumplings and red cabbage) in November.
The restaurant will also be open for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Taste also caters for vegetarians and vegans as well as for special diet requirements, gluten or lactose free. Just let the team know your special request. The restaurant can also cater for large groups, weddings and other special occasions, but book well in advance.
