When Algarve resident Charlotte Cockayne (pictured) decided it was time to face her fear of heights by doing a parachute jump, it quickly turned into a chance to raise money for the Algarve Oncology Association AOA.
Charlotte heard that a friend of hers had been diagnosed with breast cancer so the parachute jump became the perfect opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the AOA with friends, family, colleagues and local businesses sponsoring her to try and reach her target total of 1,500 Euros.
Charlotte will be taking her leap of faith tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 7am from Portimão municipal aerodrome in Alvor with the cost of the flight and the jump being met by Oz Shades and Skydive Algarve.
