After 25 years together, Norwegian band A-ha have decided to call it a day. The pop group achieved success in the 80s with their hit Take On Me and their latest album, Foot of the Mountain, reached number five in the UK album chart.
However, the three band members have promised this is not the end of their careers as individuals, saying they will now pursue “other meaningful aspects of life, be it humanitarian work, politics, or whatever else”. A farewell tour will mark their split, which will end in Oslo in December 2010.
