MANY people are wrongly of the opinion that being a churchgoer means leading a sad and mournful life. It is often a surprise to them when they attend a service and find out just how joyful worship can actually be.
To prove the point, the International Christian Fellowship of Portimão (ICF) has decided to put on a variety show in May with the co-operation of several other English-speaking churches. The aim is to show what a great and entertaining evening can be provided while raising money for the several different charities ICF supports.
Why not come along and enjoy an evening of modern and classical music, watch ballet, listen to funny jokes and be provoked by drama, pathos and humour? Be thrilled by the voices of the solo singers and the choirs, and moved by the children’s contributions.
Enjoy a really good show supporting:
– O Lar de Crianças Bom Samaritano
– Castelo de Sonhos
– Tear Fund International
– Leprosy Mission Portugal
– Resposta for the handicapped
The two performances will be held at the Lagos Cultural Centre on Thursday, May 5 and Friday, May 6, from 7.30pm. Tickets are 10 euros for adults, five euros for students and free for children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
