Cameroonian central defender Mexes Nyeck is Moncarapachense’s latest acquisition as they prepare for life in the Campeonato de Portugal. The 24-year-old represented União de Lamas in the last campaign.

This is the 12th reinforcement of the Algarve team, joining goalkeeper Mury Edoa (ex-Cernache), defenders João Pedro, Areias (both ex-Torcatense), Pedro Caeiro (ex-Coimbrões), Fábio Santos (ex-Culatrense) and Ismael (ex-Elétrico Ponte de Sor), midfielders Mory Koné (ex-Ansião) and Sérgio Abreu (ex-Torcatense), and forwards Afonso Calvinho (ex-Louletano), Bruno Pereira (ex-Imortal) and Pereirinha (ex-Oliveira do Douro).

In addition, the following have been re-signed from last season: keepers, João Azul and Tiago Froita; defenders, João Correia and André Uva; midfielders, João Soares, Luís Firmino, Rogério Mesquita and Bruno Fernandes; forwards, Dembelé, Fábio Marques, Leonardo Ceará, Januário and Ivan Francisco. Ivo Soares, who had a brief spell in charge at Olhanense two years ago, continues as first team coach.
