THE 4TH Clayman Cup in aid of Canil de São Francisco in Loulé is being played at the Jim Stewart Tennis Academy in Quinta do Lago on Sunday, May 6, from 11am.
All funds are going towards helping the abandoned animals staying at the kennels. Last year, the event raised in excess of 4,000 euros.
There are 400 injured animals at the kennels that need veterinary treatment and food. Linda Clayman, organiser of event, has started a website for the Canil www.algarvepets.org, which people can visit to sponsor a dog or to give donations.
The event promises to be a great day out for the family. There will be a raffle with many prizes such as tickets for the Il Divo concert in Lisbon and a year’s subscription to your favourite weekly newspaper, The Resident! Eurofinesco and Loulé Câmara are sponsoring the event.
