THE ARCHITECTS and design studio of Marlene Uldschmidt in Ferragudo enjoys great success. Marlene came to the Algarve some six years ago starting Equipa Quatro, a joinery and carpenter business which, in its own right, is now well known beyond the Algarve.
Marlene is a fully qualified architect, registered in Germany with the Architektenkammer in Munich and also approved by the Portuguese Ordem dos Arquitectos in Lisbon.
She began to work from her Ferragudo studio in 2004. Style and total commitment to her work and clients soon began to pay dividends. In order to meet the increase in work, she had to look for more staff soon after the office was opened. Today, a further architect, a secretary responsible for administration and client liaison, two technical designers and a technical engineer are assisting Marlene with her many projects.
A professional approach and innovative thinking, combined with her ability to deliver complete and complex project management services, are the cornerstones of her success.
Her clients are a mix of nationalities. Her ability to communicate in English, Portuguese and German allows her to understand the needs of her clients perfectly, translating their ideas and dreams into ideal living environments, delivering truly beautiful homes which mirror the personal style and personality of each client.
Blending a new home harmoniously into the existing environment is of paramount importance to her. At her heart, she is a conservationist and one look at the properties she restored and rebuilt to their former glory bear witness to her philosophy.
