The summer recess is well and truly over for bowlers along the Algarve with the arrival of many visiting teams.
Floresta hosted a team from Stoke Park, Guildford (who were staying in Albufeira) on Friday, September 29, while on Wednesday, September 27 Bognor Regis Bowls Club were playing at Valverde Bowling Club.
On Saturday, September 30, Bognor Regis Bowling Club (who were staying at Pedras da Rainha) were visiting Balaia Bowls Club with teams playing both morning and afternoon; a hard day for those who pressed on with both sessions.
Then Sunday, October 1, Bognor moved onto Floresta Bowling Club before playing their last game at Tavira Bowling Club on Monday, October 2.
With visiting teams every day next week at Valverde and Balaia, to say nothing of Floresta, Alvor and Pedras, a busy time of bowling is ahead for all bowlers in the Algarve.
All visiting teams expressed their thanks to all hosting teams for their hospitality and generosity in giving their time to play the games and make their holidays so enjoyable.
