95% of tourists recommend Algarve to friends and family

A study conducted by the University of the Algarve for tourism bosses (RTA) has described the region’s tourists as the Algarve’s “principal ambassadors”: 95% of them sing the region’s praises to friends and family. The study also found that the three most-used expressions to describe holidaymakers’ experiences were: “the Algarve means a lot to me”; “the Algarve is special to me”; “I strongly identify with the Algarve”.
