Ombria, a new sustainable resort in the heart of the Algarve near Loulé, has achieved a significant milestone by selling 80% of the Viceroy Residences – in other words, 53 out of the 65 apartments available in the first phase.
The Viceroy Residences are integrated within the five-star Viceroy Hotel at Ombria, set to open later this year, and have been attracting strong interest from British, Dutch, Portuguese, and French buyers, the resort says.
The Viceroy Residences consist of 65 exclusive apartments, featuring both one- and two-bedroom layouts, fully equipped and furnished, with management overseen by the American hotel chain Viceroy Hotels & Resorts. Some apartments boast private gardens and pools, while all units offer spacious terraces overlooking the golf course.
Owners will have access to the 18-hole golf course and all services of the Viceroy at Ombria Algarve hotel, including six restaurants, heated pools, a spa, kid’s club, library, gourmet store, conference center, gym, concierge, cleaning, room service, and maintenance.
They will also enjoy various benefits and discounts on golf and hotel services, extending to all other Viceroy Hotels & Resorts properties (currently 11 luxury hotels located across several countries, including the USA, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe).
Due to increasing demand and successful sales, prices have been on the rise since the start of sales in 2019. Presently, prices for one-bedroom apartments start at €650,000, while two-bedroom units can exceed €1 million.
“The success of Viceroy Residences’ sales reflects not only the quality of construction but also the project’s commitment to environmental protection and the local community,” says João Richard Costa, Sales and Marketing Director of Ombria,
He added: “Differentiating factors also include the quality of design and finishes, the management of rentals and maintenance overseen by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, an internationally renowned brand, and the apartments’ dual function of owner use and investment return.”
Says the resort, the apartments “guarantee a minimum annual return of 5% for the first five years to their owners. When not occupied by the owner, the apartment can be rented to hotel guests, leveraging the services and reputation of the Viceroy Hotels & Resorts brand.”
