DUE TO the continued support of sponsor Solar Edwards, the veterans tennis tournament for ladies aged 35+ and men aged 45+ was hosted for the seventh consecutive time at Carvoeiro Clube de Ténis.
Exciting matches were played on the first tournament day with the ladies needing to qualify to play in the main draw. Supporters watched some inspiring tennis in the finals, where Gaby Koplin won in a very close fought match against Valentina Green 6-7, 6-3 and 10-7. In the men’s final, Heinrich Kueper defeated Raúl Ferreira 6-4, 6-0.
