A charity Santa Parade will take place on Saturday, December 1 along the promenade of Armação de Pêra at 10am. The event, now in its seventh year, will include several activities for all ages.
Participants can choose to either walk or go on a bike ride guided by BTT Algarve Maniacs. To start it off, Angelo of Urban Gym (Alcantarilha) will provide some warm-up exercises.
Participation is free, but organisers ask anyone who wants to join on the day to bring some food donations. Preferred items are olive oil and packets of milk, but any dried food items will be accepted. “All donations offered will be greatly and gratefully appreciated. No donation is too small,” said organisers.
On foot or by bicycle, the event is an opportunity to get healthy while helping to raise food or funds for the poor.
To attend, just meet outside the Holiday Inn Algarve on the day dressed in your Santa outfit.
Adults and children are all welcome to take part on the understanding that they do so at your own risk.
