70 vehicles, described as 30 trucks and 40 cars, suffered damages today as a lorry travelling on the A3 motorway from Spain into Portugal started shedding its load of iron sheeting as it crossed the New International Bridge at Valença. Debris reportedly scattered over 111 kms. The majority of damages were to vehicle tyres. The motorway has since been reduced to single lane traffic as the clean-up ensues.
