A 60-year-old tourist, described as having dual American and South Korean nationality, has disappeared into the sea off Peniche after being carried off by a sudden wave.
Explain reports the man was walking with his wife in a ‘dangerous area’ close to the water on Cape Carvoeiro.
The wave caused him to fall into the sea.
The man’s wife was described ‘slightly injured’.
Air and sea searches remain underway this morning, having been called off overnight.
