Fifty-five kilos of rubbish was removed from Praia de Faro last Thursday (November 7) as part of a clean-up initiative carried out by students from the Dom Francisco Gomes d’Avelar and Cândido Guerreiro schools.
The event was part of the ‘Mares Circulares’ programme promoted by the Coca-Cola Foundation and Coca-Cola European Partners. Further clean-ups are planned at other Portuguese beaches this year.
