A reinforcement of outdoor police operations has begun with 5,000 extra agents drafted in for Christmas and New Year. Objectives will be focused on ensuring drivers do not speed, do not drive under the influence of alcohol and do not use their mobile phones at the wheel. Operation “Safe Holidays 2021-2022” will run until January 3, with the slogan: “Celebrate Christmas with us in safety”.
