3,668 ‘recover’ from Covid in 24-hours; 8 deaths, 344 new cases

In the DGS Covid bulletin for Saturday, 3,668 people have ‘recovered’ in the last 24-hours after testing positive for Covid-19, the active case count has dropped to 28,208 people while hospitals have seen 51 less patients interned, 7 less in intensive care. The closely-watched Rt number remains 0.92 for the mainland, 0.93 for national territory as a whole (taking in the archipelagos of Madeira and Azores). Eight people have died while 344 new cases have been flagged, the highest number (+152) in the Lisbon/ Vale do Tejo region, with the north registering +68; the centre +51, Alentejo +32, Madeira +30, Azores +14 and the Algarve strangely registering no new cases at all (It is a weekend, when testing  runs ‘slow’, so this may be the reason).
