Lagoa’s annual arts and crafts, tourism, agriculture, commerce and industry fair, known as Fatacil, is celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year.
The fair, which starts today (Friday), runs until August 28 and will feature around 150 stands.
Fatacil is a well-known event in the Algarve and this year will show services from various sectors, such as artisans, farmers and wine producers.
There will be a Blood Donor Day today (Friday) to raise awareness about the importance of giving blood, with the Western Algarve Blood Donors Association (ADSBA) providing a blood bus for donors.
In the evenings there will be some top Portuguese acts plus a U2 tribute band playing on August 22 (see more details on page 41).
A single ticket for Fatacil costs €5, a family ticket for four people cost €15, and owners of Lagoa City card will pay €2.50.
