As the state’s zeal for fining its citizens cranks up a few extra notches, newspapers reveal that SINCRO – the national speed control system – will be installing 30 mobile radar units in as many as 50 locations by the end of 2015.
The idea, assures the government, is to cut down on the number of Portugal’s traffic violations. Drivers ‘snapped’ by the cameras will receive their fines through the post.
