With pods of dolphins and orcas now habitually seen off Portugal’s beaches, other species appear to be venturing ever closer. Yesterday, dolphin watchers caught a breathtaking glimpse of a 25-metre whale, not far off Meco beach (“at the gates of Lisbon”, according to a post by SeaEO tours who have posted the sighting on their instagram account). SeaEO tours is the same company that recently spied a baleen whale off the coast of Estoril.
