Second ‘Chef & Somm’ dinner at Pine Cliffs

The second ‘Chef & Somm: Winery Spotlight’ wine pairing dinner will be held at the Mimo Algarve cooking school at the Pine Cliffs Resort in Albufeira on Saturday, August 31. The dinner begins at 7.30pm and will run for two hours.

These events are taking place until October on the last Saturday of each month and see Chef Lúcia Ribeiro teaming up with sommelier Cristiano Pereira to create a unique gastronomic experience with delicious food and wine.

Most of the wines for the August 31 event will be courtesy of the Alentejo’s Herdade de Coelheiros.

The menu will include prawns with red peppers paired with Taylor port and tonic; black cod in squid ink with celeriac served with Coelheiros white wine; duck, beetroot and salsify paired with 2015 Tapada de Coelheiros; rib eye steak with apple and potato paired with Coelheiros Vinha do Taco red wine; and strawberry crémeux served with a Taylor 10-year Tawny port.

Price is €85 per person and reservations can be made at Mimo Algarve at Pine Cliffs, through the Pine Cliffs Concierge service or online. Two further ‘Chef & Somm’ dinners are planned for September 28 and October 26.
